Shawn Clark | Career Readiness Instructor: Philadelphia
Shawn Clark has 23 years’ experience in talent acquisition. He joined Penn Medicine as a Recruiter in November 2020. In addition to his recruiting responsibilities, Shawn participates in various health system workforce development initiatives to improve promotional opportunities for front line staff. He is also a part of the recruiting team for the Pathway to Penn Medicine High School Feeder Program whose goal is to build a pipeline to connect recent high school graduates with entry level positions across the health system. Shawn also leads the organization’s Veteran Recruiting Program and is currently the Regional Director of Ambulatory and Corporate Talent Acquisition.
Notably, Shawn served 25 years in the United States Army, retiring in 2018. His last 17 years were with the Army Recruiting Department in multiple roles such as healthcare recruiting, training and leadership. He is also a member of the board of the Greater Philadelphia Veterans Network. Shawn earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Grand Canyon University.
