Our Results

After ten years, the results of our programs are undeniable. Veterans make better career choices, and employers make better hiring decisions. More than 2,500 veterans and more than 50 companies are now members of the FourBlock community through their participation in our flagship Career Readiness Program.

Our alumni have been hired at more than 500 companies around the world for an internship or full-time position upon completion of our Career Readiness Program. Three of our partnering companies have hired more than 30 of our veterans.

Together, we are improving the military transition process: 84% of our alumni find new careers and remain employed one year after program exit*, compared to the national average of 57%** of veterans who stay at their first job after military service for more than 12 months.

Our Career Readiness Program

We now offer our Career Readiness Program to veterans twice a year in virtual cohorts and in major metropolitan cities across the country during the fall and spring academic semesters. Our veterans join a cohort and together they meet once a week for ten weeks, at a different employer location each week, to receive over thirty hours of classroom instruction, practical application, & one-on-one mentorship.

We developed a comprehensive curriculum in partnership with Columbia University that is taught by experienced instructors who are professionals from leading companies, including Amazon, EY, KPMG, SpaceX, and more. We encourage host employers to participate in the class instruction as much as possible. Furthermore, one-on-one mentorship and on-boarding is provided to each veteran in order to address individual interests, challenges, and ensure a cultural and skills match with target employers.

FourBlock was able to quickly adapt and transition to virtual class sessions with veteran guest speakers and employer partners in all city locations. Due to the success of these sessions, we have added three fully virtual regional cohorts as an option for anyone who lives outside of our offered locations. For our location-based cohorts, we will resume with in-person sessions when it is safe to do so and in accordance with all city and state guidelines. In the meantime, we are prepared to deliver all class sessions virtually as needed across all cohorts.
