Grant will support the continued growth of the Charlotte, San Antonio, West Coast, and Virtual Central cohorts of FourBlock’s flagship program for transitioning veterans
(NEW YORK CITY) – FourBlock Foundation, a national nonprofit organization, was recently awarded a grant from Wells Fargo to provide ongoing support of veterans in their transition from military service to meaningful civilian careers. The continued funding will support FourBlock’s flagship Career Readiness Program for transitioning veterans in the Charlotte, San Antonio, West Coast, and Virtual Central cohorts during the 2021-2022 academic year.
“We are honored to further expand the reach of our Career Readiness Program with Wells Fargo’s incredible continued support,” said FourBlock Founder and President Michael Abrams. “The continued funding will allow us to provide hundreds of new veterans and transitioning service members across the country with access to the professional development, career exploration, and network needed to begin new and meaningful long-term civilian careers.”
Wells Fargo will also continue to serve as Anchor Partner for the Charlotte program in the 2021 – 2022 academic year, which launched in the spring of 2019 and continues today.
More than 20 Wells Fargo employee representatives participated in FourBlock class sessions during the 2020 -2021 academic year, educating and supporting more than 180 FourBlock veteran participants across the country to help them to build relationships with hiring professionals and other company representatives. “Wells Fargo is committed to empowering military communities to effectively navigate life’s transitions to achieve ongoing career and financial success,” said Sean Passmore, head of Wells Fargo military initiatives. “Supporting and actively participating in FourBlock’s Career Readiness Program expands our outreach to veterans and helps to provide tools and resources needed to successfully transition into a meaningful, enduring post-military career.”
Collaborating with FourBlock as an employer of choice is part of Wells Fargo’s ongoing military commitment and efforts to support service members, veterans, their families, and military communities.
