Wells Fargo Renews Support for FourBlock Veteran Career Readiness Program

Grant funding from Wells Fargo will support the continued growth of FourBlock’s flagship program for transitioning veterans in Charlotte, NC; San Antonio, TX; the West Coast; and Central regions

(NEW YORK CITY) – FourBlock Foundation, a national nonprofit organization, was recently awarded a grant from Wells Fargo to provide ongoing support for veterans in their transition from military service to meaningful civilian careers. The continued funding will support FourBlock’s flagship Career Readiness Program for transitioning veterans in the following cohorts during the 2022-2023 academic year: Charlotte, NC; San Antonio, TX; Pacific Northwest – Virtual; Pacific Southwest – Virtual; and Central Region – Virtual.

“We are honored to continue our work alongside Wells Fargo to support more veterans in their transitions from military service to meaningful new careers,” said FourBlock Founder and President Michael Abrams. “We are profoundly appreciative of Wells Fargo’s unwavering support, and we look forward to continuing to expand our programming and deepen our impact for transitioning military service members together.”

FourBlock and Wells Fargo have partnered together since 2019. In addition to hosting sessions of FourBlock’s Veteran Career Readiness Program across the country, Wells Fargo’s partnership also supported the launch of FourBlock’s Charlotte, NC program in 2019.

More than 50 Wells Fargo employee representatives participated in FourBlock program sessions during 2022, educating and supporting more than 320 FourBlock veteran participants across the country to help them to build relationships with hiring professionals and other company representatives. Wells Fargo has hired 33 FourBlock alumni to-date for full-time roles or internships, including six program alumni in 2022.

“The FourBlock Transition Program is one of the highest caliber resources a service member (and their spouses) has to set up their careers and really the next chapter of their lives,  said Spring 2019 FourBlock alumnus Matthew Said, Vice President, Lead Control Management Officer for Wells Fargo. “Personally, FourBlock taught me how to be prepared for my own next step into a quality company that is very engaged with veterans, like Wells Fargo.”

Collaborating with FourBlock as an employer of choice is part of Wells Fargo’s ongoing military commitment and efforts to support service members, veterans, their families, and military communities. Wells Fargo has donated more than $170 million to military- and veteran-related nonprofits since 2012. The company maintains its goal of gainfully employing members of the military community.
