This Veterans Day, our way of saying thank you is not just with words—it’s through action. At FourBlock, action is the fabric of who we are.
We’re proud to announce that FourBlock has been appointed as one of the founding six members of the Veteran Employment Collective (VEC), alongside Hiring Our Heroes (HOH), American Corporate Partners (ACP), VetJobs, America’s Warrior Partnership, NextOp Veterans, and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF).
Why This Collective Matters
The challenge before us is both urgent and resolvable. According to Hiring Our Heroes, “In 2022, HOH connected more than 53,000 veterans and military spouses to jobs” and achieved an 89 % offer rate for fellowship participants.
These are powerful metrics, but in too many cases, the transition of veterans and military spouses to meaningful civilian careers remains uneven.
Each organization in this coalition brings a unique legacy and strength:
- Hiring Our Heroes (HOH): Established under the umbrella of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, HOH has long connected the military‑connected community—veterans, transitioning service members, and spouses—with American businesses to build enduring workforce pathways.
- American Corporate Partners (ACP): A mentorship‑driven network that pairs veterans with corporate professionals to navigate the transition from service to civilian careers—“Combating under‑employment. One veteran and spouse at a time.”
- VetJobs: A long‑standing job board and career resource hub, specifically tailored to the veteran community, helping match service, skills, and opportunity.
- America’s Warrior Partnership: Focused on holistic veteran employment, wellness, and reintegration—supporting communities and veterans from the inside out.
- NextOp Veterans: An initiative designed to meet “the unprecedented employment challenges and opportunities facing military members and veterans today.”
- Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF): Based at Syracuse University, IVMF specializes in research, program development, and policy advocacy for veteran employment and economic mobility.
By coming together under the Veteran Employment Collective, we unify our strengths, coordinate our initiatives, and amplify our impact.
What We Will Do Together
At FourBlock, our mission has always been exceptionally clear: to empower veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses with the tools, skills, and connections they need to succeed in civilian careers. The VEC strengthens that mission by institutionalizing collaboration, accelerating reach, and committing to measurable outcomes:
- Scale high‑impact programs: our Career Readiness Program, Virtual Industry Pathway Events, and tailored support for military spouses will expand through this coalition.
- Integrate advanced tools: we’ll introduce innovative AI‑enabled tools and data‑driven strategies to help veterans translate military experience into civilian career value.
- Coordinate employer networks: connecting veterans to more than 1,500+ employers who value military‑connected talent and chart pathways beyond hiring—into retention and promotion.
- Track meaningful outcomes: not just placement, but career trajectory, satisfaction, and long‑term advancement for our alumni are now central metrics.
A Promise in Practice
