Ellis Craig | Vice President of Programs | Northeast

Ellis Craig is Vice President of Programs at FourBlock Foundation, where he provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the organization’s flagship, semester-long Veteran Career Readiness Program.
Before stepping into this leadership role, Ellis served as the FourBlock Career Readiness Instructor for the National Capital Region cohorts, where for seven years he mentored more than 500 transitioning veterans. In this capacity, he guided service members into meaningful civilian careers through targeted professional development, employer engagement, and strategic partnerships with C-suite leaders across industries.
In late 2025, Ellis retired after three decades of distinguished federal service spanning across National Defense and the Intelligence Community. He served as a Senior Intelligence Officer with the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Intelligence and Analysis. In this capacity, he acted as the principal advisor, fostering the flow of information and intelligence among key government executives, various levels of government, and private sector collaborators. Prior to this notable assignment, he had served as the Executive Officer for the Strategic Planning & Policy Division. He equipped senior executives for strategic interactions with the Director of National Intelligence.
Prior to DHS, he worked for the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy for Policy, Security Directorate. In this role, he served as a security advisor and policy staff officer for a wide range of security programs and initiatives. During his tenure, he was recognized as an information integrator and successfully led collaborative efforts with mission management partners to issue effective security policy, advocate for resources, and promote enterprise-wide security integration. Furthermore, he worked for numerous federal agencies to include the Office of Naval Intelligence and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Ellis served four years in the United States Marine Corps with the 2nd Marine Division during the Liberation and Defense of Kuwait, where he distinguished himself through valorous actions during the ground offensive, earning the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Valor and Combat Action Ribbon.
He is a member of the prestigious Army and Navy Club, a private haven for military officers, government and private sector professionals, and distinguished members of America’s warrior class.
