Kevin Balisky | Career Readiness Instructor: Phoenix, AZ
Following a 30-year career in the U.S. Army, Kevin transitioned into the civilian sector, first serving as General Manager for a defense contracting firm before establishing himself as an independent contractor.
Throughout his military service, Kevin cultivated and mentored countless professionals—junior officers, enlisted personnel, and interagency partners—helping them grow into confident leaders and strategic thinkers. His assignments with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and as a Foreign Area Officer took him to Germany, South Korea, and to senior roles at U.S. Embassies in Tanzania, Kenya and the Department of State.
In Fall 2022, Kevin completed the FourBlock program—a transformative experience that followed his passion for empowering fellow service members. He volunteered as a Career Readiness Coach for Virtual Central and West, where he has mentored and coached transitioning service members, equipping them with the tools, confidence, and clarity needed to thrive in civilian life. His coaching style blends strategic insight with genuine empathy, helping individuals navigate both professional reinvention and personal growth.
Kevin and his wife now live in northern Phoenix where they are embracing post-military life with purpose and enthusiasm.
