Over 40 PwC professionals volunteer their time in one of two FourBlock cities.
(NEW YORK CITY) – On October 4, FourBlock teamed with PwC and its Veterans Affinity Networks in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. to host mock interviews for transitioning veterans.
Over forty PwC associates, managers, directors, and partners made themselves available to interview FourBlock student veterans and review their resumes. By this time, veterans participating in the FourBlock Career Readiness Program had learned to create targeted resumes for specific job opportunities and used this time to apply these lessons
In addition to interview skills and resume reviews, FourBlock veterans also received advice on crucial communications skills. “Learn where the cues are. In the military, it was your job and you weren’t supposed to brag about it or even talk about it. But now it’s up to you to show your value,” said Laura Smith, manager at PwC.
The PwC Charitable Foundation and PwC LLP volunteers have long supported FourBlock in its mission to prepare veterans for success in the best possible careers. FourBlock would like to thank the Foundation and the PwC professionals who volunteered their time.
