FourBlock, Wells Fargo Expand Support for Veteran Career Readiness Program
The firm’s $50,000 grant will support the growth of FourBlock’s flagship program in Charlotte, San Antonio, and San Francisco
(NEW YORK CITY) – FourBlock Foundation, a national nonprofit organization, was recently awarded a $50,000 grant from Wells Fargo to continue their support of veterans in their transition from military service to meaningful civilian careers. The grant will support FourBlock’s flagship Career Readiness Program in 2020-2021 for transitioning veterans in Charlotte, San Antonio, and San Francisco.
“We’re thrilled to grow our Career Readiness Program with the continued support of Wells Fargo,” said FourBlock Founder and President Michael Abrams. “Hundreds of new veterans and transitioning service members in the Charlotte, San Antonio, and San Francisco areas will now have access to the professional development, career exploration, and network needed to find meaningful, long-term careers.”
Wells Fargo previously supported FourBlock as an anchor partner for FourBlock’s Charlotte Career Readiness Program, which launched in the spring of 2019 and continues today. The company has also hosted more than 10 Career Readiness Program class sessions across the country to engage with FourBlock veteran participants and help them to build relationships with hiring professionals and other company representatives. Wells Fargo has also gone on to hire 19 FourBlock alumni to-date.
