FourBlock Fall 2023 Veteran Career Readiness Program Begins Across the Nation

With 19 cohorts available in person and virtually across the country, FourBlock’s Veteran Career Readiness Program expands support for service members’ military-to-civilian career transitions

September 18, 2023 (NEW YORK CITY) – FourBlock officially kicks off a new semester of its flagship Veteran Career Readiness Program this month, with more than 400 transitioning service members and veterans enrolled across 19 program cohorts across the country.   

Since its founding, FourBlock’s Veteran Career Readiness Program has supported more than 4,000 transitioning military members in their transitions from military service to meaningful new civilian careers.  

Operating both in-person and virtual cohorts this semester, the program will provide opportunities for transitioning service members and veterans from across the country and around the world to access to the resources and relationship-building opportunities they need to make a successful transition to meaningful new civilian careers.   

Last week, the participating service members and transitioning veterans in FourBlock’s Fall 2023 Veteran Career Readiness Program attended their Orientation sessions, where they got to know their fellow participants and the Career Readiness Instructors who will lead them through the program. 

This fall, the program is being offered in-person in 12 cohorts across the country: 

1. Atlanta, GA 

2. Boston, MA   

3. Charlotte, NC   

4. Denver / Colorado Springs, CO  

5. Houston, TX  

6. New York City, NY   

7. Orlando, FL   

8. San Antonio, TX   

9. San Diego, CA   

10. Seattle, WA  

11. Tampa, FL   

12. Washington, D.C.   

In addition, seven virtual cohorts will serve veterans and service members around the world in different time zones. Those virtual cohorts are:  

1. Central Region – Virtual: Serving veterans across the Central and Mountain Time Zones, with a focus on Chicago, St. Louis, and surrounding areas  

2. Northeast – Virtual: Serving veterans in the Northeast region with a focus on Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas   

3. Pacific Northwest – Virtual: Serving veterans in the Pacific Northwest with a focus on San Francisco and surrounding areas   

4. Pacific Southwest – Virtual: Serving veterans in the Pacific Southwest region with a focus on Los Angeles, Phoenix, and surrounding areas   

5. Southeast – Virtual: Serving veterans across the Southeast region with a focus on Jacksonville and surrounding areas    

6. Texas – Virtual: Serving veterans in Texas with a focus on Austin, Dallas, and surrounding areas    

7. Global – Virtual: Serving active-duty service members and student veterans around the world   

Students in the Fall 2023 program will be participating from 43 states across the country and as far as Germany and Italy as FourBlock continues to expand its program offerings and reach more transitioning service members and veterans where they are.   

To provide our participants with additional feedback and support along the way, we also have more than 150 Career Readiness Coaches joining us this semester. Nearly 50% are FourBlock alumni, who are returning to the program to volunteer their time and pay it forward. 

FourBlock’s flagship Veteran Career Readiness Program integrates online learning experiences with face-to-face (in-person or virtual) sessions to help transitioning veterans develop a relationship-based career strategy and equip them with the tools, skills, and relationship building opportunities necessary to succeed in civilian careers. The program also acts as an entryway to FourBlock’s nationwide network of program alumni, veteran professionals, and corporate partners dedicated to supporting service members and veterans in their transition to meaningful new careers after military service.  

Over the course of a semester, participants also obtain real-world civilian experience by connecting with different companies each week and meeting with senior executives from host companies such as ADP, AIG, Boeing, Blackstone, Coca-Cola, Comcast NBCUniversal, Cox Communications, Delta Air Lines, Lockheed Martin, PwC, Raytheon Technologies, Truist, Uber, USAA, Wells Fargo, Workday, and many others.
