FourBlock Announces New Chair and Vice Chair on Board of Directors
Current board members Darren Sumter and Lindsey Pollak will expand their roles on FourBlock’s Board of Directors as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively
(NEW YORK CITY) – FourBlock, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans and military spouses successfully transition from military service to meaningful new civilian careers, is pleased to announce its new Chair and Vice Chair of the organization’s Board of Directors.
Effective immediately, Darren Sumter has been appointed as the new Chair of the FourBlock Board of Directors. In this role, Sumter will oversee strategic direction of the board, as well as its fundraising and advocacy efforts.
Additionally, Lindsey Pollak has been named the new Vice Chair of the FourBlock Board of Directors. In this capacity, Pollak will assist the Chair in board oversight and leadership as well as fundraising and advocacy efforts. Pollak will also continue to represent FourBlock in the community as the co-host of The FourBlock Podcast.
In these new roles, Sumter and Pollak will also help ensure that FourBlock continues to fulfill its mission and further its positive impact for the military community and corporate partners it serves.

Darren Sumter is the Head of Professional Services Vertical Sales, Major Accounts, and Sales Solutions for LinkedIn. Sumter has been a member of the FourBlock Board since 2017. He is a veteran of the First Gulf War where he served in the U.S. Army in Saudi Arabia and Iraq for operations Desert Storm and Shield.
Career and Workplace Expert, New York Times Bestselling Author, International Speaker, and LinkedIn Learning Instructor Lindsey Pollak first joined the FourBlock Board in 2018.

Pollak added, “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Vice Chair on FourBlock’s Board. It’s an organization that is doing essential work to support our veterans and military spouses, and I’m looking forward to working with the board and staff to help FourBlock continue to grow and succeed.”
The role of Chair was previously held by Missy Owens, who will remain on the Board and continue to serve alongside fellow Board members Michael Abrams, Honorary Chairman General Charles Krulak, Chairman Emeritus Colonel Bill Murray, Jo Ann Ross, Treasurer Rick Miners, and Secretary Richard Stehl.
