What struggles or barriers did you face during your spouse’s career?

The most obvious ones are job insecurities due to multiple moves or deployments, [and being] the only parent to take care of the kids while the spouse is away.

What drove you to apply to participate in FourBlock/PTLU’s Military Spouse Career Readiness Program?

A LinkedIn connection who graduated from the program told me about FourBlock and how positively it impacted her professional career.

How did the program impact you?

The program has definitely helped me better know myself and all the potential I have to be successful in the workforce.

What were your key takeaways from the program?

Our weekly sessions with Susan and Kelley and all the stories that were shared about people that have changed their lives through this program or the help of Susan and Kelley.

What did you like most about FourBlock/PTLU’s approach and/or the Career Readiness Program?

I really liked how this program helps build self-esteem for people that doubt themselves about their own capabilities or God given gifts.

How did the program help prepare you for your current role?

It elevated my own self-esteem and made me believe that I can achieve anything I put my mind to. Plus, when I had an interview, Susan did help me with some interview questions.

What can military spouses expect from the program?

They can expect to know themselves and what they want to achieve for their career by the end of the program.

What do you like most about your current company or position?

Amazon is known for its customer-centricity, which aligns perfectly with my beliefs.

What one piece of key advice would you give to other military spouses who are currently transitioning?

Be patient and have faith in yourself and the entire process.
