Hee-Won Yoon | Career Readiness Instructor: Mid-Atlantic – Virtual
Hee-Won spearheads the regulatory compliance and administrative functions of the Enterprise Business Resiliency Management team which ensures the sustainability and survivability of America’s second-largest federal credit union, serving nearly three million members worldwide with over $35 billion in assets. He is responsible for various internal programs such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, and Enterprise Incident Management.
Hee-Won is a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant who served 25 years of active-duty service from 1997 to 2022. He spent half of his career overseas including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as over a decade between South Korea and Japan. He has over two decades of experience in program management, enterprise resource planning, policy analysis, systems integration, training development, and project management – deeply immersed in the DoD’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution, and Audit (PPBEA) process.
Hee-Won earned his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Systems Technologies through Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a Master of Science in Project Management through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he graduated with distinction. He is also a graduate of University of Maryland in Korean Studies, as well as the Human Systems Integration and Great Power Competition graduate certificate programs through the Naval Postgraduate School.
Hee-Won has been married to Min-Jung Jang for over 22 years and they are proud parents of two college students. The Yoon family loves to travel, and they eat out often, trying different cuisines from various cultures. They live in Virginia Beach with their mischievous cat, Damon.
