FourBlock continues to impact veteran hiring and retention through introducing new cities, new partners, new events, and a new curriculum into its semester-long program.
(NEW YORK CITY) – With locations in twelve cities nationwide—up 100% since Fall 2015—FourBlock is set to prepare more veterans than ever before for their transitions into this country’s workforce. Thanks to a strategic grant investment from the PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc., to help support FourBlock’s expansion into new cities, cohorts for the Career Readiness Program begin in the coming weeks, and this year, FourBlock is not only expanding its reach, but strengthening the depth of its impact as well.
The addition of new associate instructors, guest lecturers, and regional directors has enabled FourBlock to launch its Career Readiness Program in Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago; IL; New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Tacoma, WA; Washington, DC. The associate instructors and guest lecturers, representing companies such as PwC, Google, Accenture, Deloitte, LinkedIn, and Amazon, will teach the curriculum within each community, while regional directors will coordinate region-specific support.
“While FourBlock continues to expand, we will remain steadfast in our focus and commitment to the individual veteran while ensuring that this nation’s top companies are creating environments for veterans to achieve their full potential,” said Mike Abrams, president and founder of FourBlock.
In addition to new cities, FourBlock has teamed up with Coca-Cola, Facebook, GE, and Google to host and teach classes in various cities. The support of these new partners, alongside that of existing partners PwC, Columbia University, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and UPS, will provide greater industry learning and career opportunities to FourBlock veterans.
Finally, the FourBlock Career Readiness Program curriculum was refined throughout the summer months, thanks to the Columbia University School of Professional Studies educational technology media production team. All FourBlock veterans will continue to be able to access the curriculum on the university’s online learning platform.
FourBlock thanks its sponsors and various partners for their continued support and dedication to inspiring more veterans.
