Carlos R. Cuevas

Carlos is a former United States Marine Corps Infantry Officer. Throughout his military career he served in multiple operational roles leading 50 to 800 personnel to locations in Southeast/Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia to accomplish operational requirements.

Since transitioning from military service, Carlos has completed a Master of Business Administration degree with honors at the top business school in Florida, the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. He has gained program management experience in the construction industry helping to construct the BRIDG microelectronics fabrication facility as part of the growing 500-acre technology district in Osceola County, Florida. Following his time in the construction industry he served as a program manager for a 54 contractor employee staff in direct support of the Marine Corps’ Acquisition Program Office for training and simulation systems, PM TRASYS. His current role is as the Manager of Business Development for SIMETRI, Inc. a small but agile business that excels in the design, development, and manufacturing of medical simulation trainers and training services located in Winter Park, Florida.

He is passionate about community involvement, economic development, and military veteran advocacy. He stays involved with organizations such as the Camaraderie Foundation, the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation, The Mission Continues, the 1st Marine Division Association, the Navy League (Central Florida Chapter), the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA), Leadership Orlando, the Crummer School of Business – Mentor Program, and FourBlock. He is the current Chairman for the Camaraderie Foundation’s Mentor Leadership Program Alumni Council. His professional objective is to continue contributing to the growth of the business landscape in Central Florida. His personal objective is to give back to his community at every opportunity he is afforded.
