FourBlock Founder to Lead New Columbia University Center

FourBlock partners with Columbia University to launch the Center for Veteran Transition and Integration

(NEW YORK CITY) – This week, Columbia University announced the establishment of a new Center for Veteran Transition and Integration. FourBlock Foundation is the launch partner for the Center.

For several years, FourBlock has worked with Columbia University to accelerate its growth and impact on veteran career readiness. As the launch partner of this Center, FourBlock further strengthens its ability to provide meaningful career education to hundreds of veterans each semester.

Michael Abrams, founder of the FourBlock Foundation, was also introduced as the Executive Director for the Center, where he will lead a team dedicated to supporting excellence and innovation in transition programming for current and former members of the Armed Forces.

“The FourBlock Foundation and Columbia University have worked together for several years to provide meaningful career transition education to veterans nationally. Today, that relationship just got stronger,” said Bill Murray, chairman of the FourBlock Board of Directors.

FourBlock also announced the hiring of Lauren Schulz as Director of Strategic Partnerships. Schulz is a Major in the Marine Corps Reserves, Iraq war veteran, and most recently lead community outreach for the Marine Corps out of the Pentagon. Lauren will lead the development of all strategic partnerships and program expansion across the nation.
